Marian Gaborik, in his first game back since missing two months with a hip injury, scored the tying goal late in regulation and added a helper. Niklas Backstrom allowed three goals on 30 shots for his fifth defeat in six starts. Calgary picked up the game's first goal with 7:03 left the second period. Langkow carried down the left wing near the goal line and dished into the slot, where the puck caromed off a Minnesota player and into the net. Brunette answered for Minnesota less than a minute later, but Conroy lifted a wrister over Backstrom's glove at 16:25 for the Flames' go-ahead tally. Gaborik forged a 2-2 deadlock with 4:43 left in regulation, left alone in the slot to slam home Brunette's centering feed. "We're in a little bit of a rut here, having trouble putting 60 minutes together," noted Brunette. "It's killing us right now." Game Notes Calgary won six of eight meetings a year ago...Gaborik's only other goal this season came on October 14 in Atlanta...The Flames begin a five-game homestand by hosting the Blackhawks on Friday, while the Wild host the Islanders also on Friday.
